Employment Opportunity :Heavy Duty Mechanic

 

Department: Production Maintenance

Employment Status: Fulltime (40 hour work week)

Salary: CI$4,075 to CI$6,112 per month

Overtime Eligibility: Yes, On-call rotation

Work Environment: Plant

Corporate – Workspace is primarily in the Administrative Building

In Field – Workspace is primarily Off Site at various locations around the island

Plant Area- Workspace is primarily in the Power Plant Area

Hybrid – Workspace is a combination of in the Administrative Building and in the Field or in the Plant Area

Satellite- Workspace is at one of CUC’s satellite locations

 

Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

       Performing all maintenance tasks on production equipment as directed.

       General maintenance, trouble shooting, repair and performing major overhauls on diesel engines and related auxiliary equipment.

       Conducting scheduled maintenance on a planned basis.

       Carrying out unscheduled maintenance in a thorough and timely manner.

       Perform stand-by duties as required after normal working hours.

       Other duties as may be assigned from time to time.

 

Requirements

Applicants should possess:

       High school diploma, with 2 year diploma in mechanics preferred

       Five years related work experience in diesel engine and related equipment maintenance and repair.
